Over the last few months I found myself on the hunt for a new leather jacket. I would not say I was actively searching, but I would say that it was always on the back of my mind when I was out shopping. Well low and behold I was doing some Christmas shopping in Nordstrom Rack when I stumbled upon this French Connection leather beauty.
It fit all the stipulations I had in mind: a good fit, front zipper, strong lapels, and hardware detailing. With a price tag of $80 I could not resist and in the cart it went. I decided on a black and orange motif for this ensemble, which is a color combination that I typically shy away from for the Halloween resemblance. But the orange color of the sweater and the leopard detailing of the scarf was subdued enough to fit the bill.
A new trend I am toying with as of late is neck scarves tied in various ways. This leopard number is actually a bandanna I found at a vintage shop in Asbury Park and I decided to tie it in a way that resembled a choker necklace for this outfit. The sweater is from Old Navy during one of the store’s major sales and these ultra comfortable black pants are from a cute and quaint boutique in Woodstock, Georgia.
These patent leather ankle booties were on major shoe clearance online at ASOS and I cannot get enough of them. They are as comfortable as they are chic, which is one of my favorite style combinations. Last but far from least is my coveted Diane Von Furstenberg secret agent bag in olive green.
