Hanging on to warm weather

Despite the fact that I am looking forward to the fall weather because I am a lover of the fashion that comes with it, summer has always been my favorite season. Growing up at the beach I always longed for summer and long and lazy days spent on the beach. With the weather still being warm even though we’re almost in October, I decided to take advantage of that and wear my summer clothing just a tad bit longer.

I found this printed skirt on sale at Nordstrom Rack and was instantly taken with it’s easy throw on capabilities, length and the slits on each side. When styling the skirt I wanted to keep it simple with a plain black t-shirt to let the print of the skirt stand for itself. Since the shirt was longer than the high waist, I decided to tie it up to emphasize the waist detailing.

I decided since the weather was still warm enough for sandals the finishing touch on my outfit would be these tie up, suede heeled sandals that I also scored on sale. During one of my online shopping sessions at Forever 21, I found a ton of great pieces all with price tags of $10 and under. These cognac heels were $10 and I was pleased to find that they are extremely comfortable for a pair of heels with a slightly high height.

So with the weather still in the 70s and even 80s on some days, I won’t pack up all my summer clothes and sandals just yet. But I can ensure that fall fashion will be hitting the blog soon so stay tuned. What’s your favorite season?
