Transitional Dressing through the quarantine

It may seem exceptionally odd right now to be discussing transitional dressing from winter to spring outfits when the only people seeing you are those in which you live with and your traveling is merely from your bedroom to the living room. But despite all of that this far throughout the quarantine I have found that for me some simple normalcies such as styling an outfit and doing my hair and makeup really do lift my mood.

I’m not saying you need to roll out the red carpet and throw on your floor length gown, but maybe on certain days swap those sweats for your favorite pair of denim and throw on a cozy sweater or with the weather warming up toss on your prettiest maxi dress. While I styled this outfit prequarantine for a Thursday at the office, [I work in a business casual setting as a reporter] I would still be comfortable in the same look during quarantine. I would probably just trade the heeled booties for barefeet or slippers.

These acid wash cargo pants are super lightweight so I paired them with an extra soft and cozy sweater on top. I threw on my favorite leather jacket to tie together the look, but if you’re just lounging at home this look is still chic and put together sans jacket. I originally scored these pants back in college in an Urban Outfitters sale room and I can honestly say that I have loved them dearly ever since. This fuzzy striped sweater was a Nordstrom Rack find from a couple years ago and is still the softest sweater I own and one of my favorite go-tos.

While it’s nearly impossible to find these specific pieces online due to the fact that they are older, I have rounded up similar styles for you to shop below. And I’m even throwing some leather jackets and heeled booties into the shoppable slide in case you’re in the mood to take an extra stylish walk to your mailbox or even around the block.
